birds teach us

sometimes we must just leap

and trust our wings

— Ed Bremson

As a citizen of Bangladesh, I am a proud Bengali. We fought for our mother language, our

independence, our freedom. I live in a country where one can see the beauty of six

seasons, soothing nature, an overwhelmed peace and the silence of a solitary moon. I feel

the freedom of a bird, and I live with love. When I selected these poems, these attributes got

priority. I hope the ku that I selected for this month will be appreciated by all. I believe that it will bring a new aura, will make all the poets more connected and will enhance the interaction

among each other as well.

Thank you all.

Kamrun Nahar

I have a question here. How is this a good haiku? It’s a statement - to being positive etc. Is there concrete imagery that doesn’t tell but shows?

Dear Ed,

Thank you so much for responding.

Ah, Birds are my favourite beings. Wonderful learning. Perhaps, as part of a photo-haiku, it has more impact. 🙏
