Terry Ann adds:
This poem was actually written in Tokyo...I was on my way to the Basho Festival in Ueno. By the time I got to Ueno, I met up with Bill Higginson and Penny Harter ( which was so wonderful). After the festival, they invited me to travel back to Tokyo with them. We spent several marvellous days visiting temples and bookstores. I didn't feel " alone" again.this was in 2005.
