I loved this poem with dad as 'for dad,' it is anything under the sun!!
This ku has become one of my favourites. Somehow, somewhere I connect with it closely.
The poet says:
It was written on a mountain summit where a small cairn was dedicated to someone's father. The memorial was dwarfed by the landscape but to the son, his late father must've been his mountain! Having lost my own father recently, the loss matters only to a handful and is insignificant in the wider universe, but to me he was everything.
