harvest moon…
two fallow farms
lie side by side

This month is going to be a treat for our members. _()_ Thank you so much, Ashish.
For me, the contrast between the harvest moon and fallow fields is quite stunning. It immediately brings to mind unmet promises or expectations. Then added to that the information that there are two fields and lying side-by-side, completes the allusion to a childless marriage. However there is hope too- the field are fallow, not barren. An exemplary use of concrete images to explore complex situations.
Simple and succinct!
Beautiful one by Geethanjali! The contrast has come out so nicely.
Such a striking image - the contrast is quite breathtaking!
Just looked up about the 'fallow farms' and realized that even farms have a time like us as we are on hiatus/ partly retiring somewhat. Loved L 3. L 1 is so strong and then to talk about the fallow farming sounds unique. Thanks Geetanjali for this visual haiku that we see most often whilst travelling. I often wonder why a piece of land is kept barren in the middle of a vast fertile green paddy field. And that too 'side by side' - too deep to think about and reflect. Beautiful!
