As a citizen of Bangladesh, I am a proud Bengali. We fought for our mother language, our
independence, our freedom. I live in a country where one can see the beauty of six
seasons, soothing nature, an overwhelmed peace and the silence of a solitary moon. I feel
the freedom of a bird, and I live with love. When I selected these poems, these attributes got
priority. I hope the ku that I selected for this month will be appreciated by all. I believe that it will bring a new aura, will make all the poets more connected and will enhance the interaction
among each other as well.
Thank you all.

Thank you, Amoolya.
Very relatable and most subtle.
Thank you, guest editor, Kamrun, for selecting my poem for Triveni Spotlight. Thank you, editors, Vidya and Teji, for all the work at Triveni Spotlight.
This was written around six months back when I had to isolate myself in a room for ten days. I would also be alone at home for a few hours. That was when the window became alive to me. (We have French windows in the said room). The visual of flying birds and their birdsong kept me company. Different calls of different birds. Somewhere there is also included, I hope, the different perspectives of freedom in this ku.
I thank everyone for reading and pondering over the verse. I'm greatly honoured and humbled to be…
Poignant yet a sense of stoic acceptance - lovely
It's beautiful, Amoolya.
