Note by the Guest Editor:
These poems have been pulled from my ever-growing document of favorite haiku.
Some I have admired for years, while others I have newly discovered. This is the
joy of poetry, as of life: its ever-changing course of discovery. I encourage all
readers of poetry to keep such a file. As far as has been possible, I have obtained
permission from the writers to share them.

Telling us about the care that should be taken during winter. The hammers barely move. And the soft falling of the snow is so beautifully juxtaposed with the piano. Nice!!
A calm palpable ku!
What a gentle and tender ku -- masterfully done

the piano hammers barely moving - which means the musician is playing very, very softly.
And I can almost hear the snow fall Haiku can't get more subtle than this.
