wildfire spreading marmalade on toast

Bottle Rockets, #46, February 2022

Hello readers,

There are moments of surprise in the poems hidden in between the time and space that breathes and echoes a voice of the universe. Unlock the door to the poem that stirs to startle you for a minute. Walk through them. Question the perception and resonate that with your experience. What makes you pause?

This month is going to be very interesting. Watch out for this space, every alternate day! Thank you, Lakshmi. We are waiting to see the month unfold. _()_

Thank you for choosing "wildfire", Lakshmi. I'm so glad that it resonates with you.

I talk in depth about the poem's generation in this interview on the whiptail blog.

Many images come to mind reading the poem depending on where the readers pauses. Maybe it’s as simple as a wildfire burning somewhere while marmalade is being spread on toast.

Maybe the color of the marmalade evokes the image of a wildfire especially if the marmalade is made from blood oranges.

Maybe the toast is burnt; hence it looks like the remnants of a wildfire.

Great read! Thanks editors for sharing!
