once I believed

a flower should not

be plucked

        now I see you

wither away untouched

My theme is haikai poems from books I have read and enjoyed and want to share with the Triveni family. Each poem is from a different book and there are a range of subjects. Hope you and Triveni visitors enjoy the poems.

Hi, Mahua.

Waiting to read your poems.

fear not , like some "things" the flower has lived the life intended

It has shone with it's beauty for us to look upon, paint pictures and write poetry

it has been touched by bees that make honey and other insects that spread it's seeds

for the next generation

bird's have likely drunk of it's nectar

it has provided a more positive impact on this earth than many humans

I do not weep for it, for in its death the soil will be nourished.
