They say poetry heals. Some people find poetry to be just a way of expression. Poetry could be a balm for a few or a way to calm their minds. For few it is introspection and it could be a way of life for somebody. Poetry brings truth to the fore.
Poets / writers / readers have different views about poetry at different points in time:
"One of the best-kept secrets in this technically oriented culture is that simply speaking truth heals."
--- Rachel Remen
"To write poetry is to be alive."
--- Rainer Maria Rilke
Robert Frost says “A poem begins in delight and ends in wisdom."
Have you ever experienced this wisdom?
What is poetry for you? Why do you write?
Share a haiku / tanka / piece of haikai that celebrates your perception / views about poetry.

I once read these lines that makes so much sense:
“ A lot of haiku written today in the English language by Western practitioners fall short of memorability and depth, and appear to be formula based"
So, I don’t enjoy reading junk haiku — there are many being written!
It’s important to have poetic sentiment, feeling while one is writing poems. Besides, only that haiku is superior which can be understood by everyone and not just a few!
