Flamenco
Baisali Chatterjee
The wind tangoes with the flaming red gulmohar, the neighbouring leaves clapping and shivering to the beat. The clouds, unmoved by this wild passion, slink away, taking the rain with them.
Another night of broken promises.

Baisali says :
“I love listening to the Spanish guitar - I find it magical. I have always wanted to use it in my writing and my earnest attempt in this piece of writing was to create a flamenco-like effect with my words.”
Prompt for Writers
The title attracted me from the very beginning. I searched for the meaning and realised how tactfully Baisali has moulded this story to bring out the emotions of Flamenco. Can you script one such title that takes you far to the most realistic part of your lives?
Thank you The Haibun Gallery Team!

Dirty Dancing
It wasn't the movie, it wasn't the right evening, it was fast-forwarding to Stupid O'Clock. It was legal, liquid substances golden in hue and tone, it was a few James Bond martinis, an growing out-of-favour-band at a Student Union bar.
And an ex-girlfriend.
It wasn't romantic. It was young but it wasn't pretty.
It was a fireman's lift though not a rescue. It wasn't Elvis that left the building.
James Bond is a bad influence. Thankfully we survived another spy caper.
