A beautiful poem.
As the daughter of the poem’s protagonist, I wanted to say that by some miraculous serendipity- quite amazing to Shawn and I- this post went live on Dad’s birthday, which he celebrated with gusto!
Now I understand what it is all about. Lovely ku. Great selection.
This is such a beautiful ku. L1 and 2 talk about a decade long friendship and warmth which is so cherishable. When we read Shawn's comment the ku comes to life warming the heart. The rich and warm interactions depicted in the comment make the ku more lively and adorable. Also, I get to see how this warmth is transposed into such a crisp ku. Thank you Shawn and team Open Sky Samwad for this.
This is a lovely ku. Though I understood the poem, I couldn't articulate it in the words I wanted to. Reading Shawn's comment on his own poem, totally warmed my heart.
