Maeve says: In relation to the background, I wrote it at New Year 2021. In Ireland, as in many other places, we had collectively come through nine months of strict lockdowns. Like lots of others, I was working from home, in my case teaching 18 hours of classes each week (to young adult learners) on Zoom, so I was pretty exhausted by the time we got to our Christmas holidays.
On top of that, I picked up a virus at the start of the break. I didn’t know whether it was Covid 19 or not, as there weren’t any antigen tests at that point. So I had to lay low and wait for a scheduled PCR test on the 29th…
