Susan shares-
“The way my dad tells the story is that every day when I got home from Kindergarten he would ask me how my day was and I would always say, "fine." So after a while he got tired of hearing that and asked me to tell him something more about my day. I told him that we played duck, duck, goose, and everyone got picked but me. Then I started balling. After that, he says he didn't ask me how my day was again! Lol. I wrote this poem as a way of trying to capture that memory and feeling. “
