Loved this poem. The way the second line starts with 'lately'. I remember trying one with 'of late'.

I remember this amusing senryu from Tiny Words. It struck me so empathetically at the time, and that was 10 years ago! I won't repeat all the good comments made so far, except to heartily agree.

There's a zen-like acceptance embedded in this piece, typical of the humanistic style of Bob Lucky. He has been a consistently fine writer the last few decades I've followed his work. I don't know him personally, but I recognize him as a fellow traveler.
