I love them without knowing why and so has been the case with this ku by Tom Painting which I had come across when I was new to haiku and have loved it ever since. Although the season is spring, there is a meditative quality about it, something that goes beyond the frugal seven words or mere seasonality. It's upto the readers to find that out for themselves.

The poet has only this to say about the poem:

Sanjuktaa,

Can you explain the lines and then tell us why you like it so much.

At present you are telling us about the poem, can you show us how and why you like it so much?

Thanks a lot.
