As much as in a football match, this verse also signifies the changes occurring in life. While the father and son duo may be playing a football game together and may exchange their positions after halftime, similarly somewhere after half of life's journey, the father and son seem to have exchanged their roles.
The transience of phases of life has been beautifully conveyed in this senryū.
Thought provoking ku by Srinivasa Rao Sambangi. The shift in the goals and preferences of family members as they age is brought out effectively in such a few words.
Love this haiku
I love this haiku by Srinivasa Sambangi, written masterfully to say so much in so few words! This is a wonderful poem to share here, hosts! Thanks for sharing the link too, Sanjuktaa!
