indianKUKAI #52: January 2026

Namaste! Hello! We welcome you to the 52nd edition of indianKUKAI. indianKUKAI is a quarterly haiku contest, organised by Triveni Haikai India. 

Theme: first sunrise

The word need not be used in the haiku, but the haiku should show the topic clearly. Poets are invited to write and submit their haiku on this theme during the allotted time. 

Please do not submit after the submission period is over. After the submission period, the work submitted is gathered and posted for votes.

Only participants can vote! We'll add the voting ballot in a separate 'call for votes' post. Votes are tallied and the results are made public. The top THREE winners will be acknowledged and will receive e-certificates.

VOTING Monday 19th January to Sunday 25th January 2026, 12 Midnight (IST)

Cast your vote

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR VOTES BEFORE THE 19TH OR AFTER THE 25th OF January 2026.

RESULTS: The results will be announced no later than Saturday, 31st January 2026, in the indianKUKAI blog section.
