Karen Harvey AKA Poet on the Beach lives in North Wales, UK on the seafront of a small market town. She swims all year round because she finds it therapeutic both mentally and physically. She often returns with driftwood, sea shells and ideas for new poems.

Karen is also a Writing for Well-being Practitioner working via Zoom and a carer/advocate for her husband and three of their adult children who have a rare genetic illness. She also dabbles in art and is learning to craft film poems. She enjoys being part of the international haikai community
