Ring a Ring o' Roses or 'Ring Around the Rosie' as it is commonly known, dates back to the late 1700s-- Dave Sarjeant posted this comment about the term ring 'o roses... " It comes from the bubonic plague of course and charts the course of the disease from the rash (ring of roses) to an attempted cure (pocketful of posies) to flu like symptoms (atishoo atishoo) and then, of course, the ultimate fate that we all face (we all fall down).

How relevant this playground rhyme is to the times of pandemic that we live in! I am sure all of you have written Covid poems. There is also the fact that humanity and life bounces back with a lot of hope and can easily sing about their pain.
