Poet May Sarton on remaining a beginner:

"It is good for a professional to be reminded that his professionalism is only a husk, that the real person must remain an amateur, a lover of the work."

This quote further takes me to a poem written by Masoka Shiki:

consider me

as one who loved poetry

and persimmons

How do you like to be considered. To some extent all of us remain beginners all our lives. In fact when you reach somewhere it is time to begin all over again. All endings have another beginning woven into them.

So,write about beginnings and endings or your journey as a poet.
