John Keats describes autumn as the ‘season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’. So it is, as the mellowing days get shorter and air gets nippier, what better way to celebrate autumn than to build an occasional bonfire in the moonlight. The family gathers around the warmth of the fire, the children enthralled in the magic of the moment, perhaps see fairies and fireflies in the dancing flames.
